PADI Rescue Diver

The PADI Rescue Diver course will expand your knowledge and experience level. Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers.
About the Course Minimum Age: 12 Years Old

Although this course is serious, it is a fun and enjoyable way to build your confidence. Many divers say this is the best course they’ve ever taken. Challenging and rewarding best describes the PADI Rescue Diver course.

Through a combination of knowledge development, pool practice and a number of realistic open water rescue scenarios, you will quickly develop the skills necessary to carry out an effective in-water rescue using a variety of techniques and resources. Most importantly, you'll learn how to prevent relatively minor situations from becoming more serious.

The course fee is all inclusive
This includes all required study materials, hire of all necessary equipment, certification fees and all pool entry fees. The only additional cost will be a couple of small entry fees for the open water dive site. Oh, and your bacon sandwich & cup of tea!

Rescue Diver Course: £275

Before you start: To participate in the confined water training sessions and knowledge development, you'll need to be certified to PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent qualification from another training agency. You'll also need successful completion of a sanctioned CPR program within the past 24 months. The Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First Aid) courses meet these requirements.

Prior to the open water scenarios: You'll need to be certified to PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent qualification from another training agency. You'll also need to have logged a total of 20 dives.

2008 Course Start Dates
The knowledge development portion of the Rescue Diver course is flexible. There are no set dates and your instructor will discuss the best approach with you. It is recommended that 5 weeks be allowed to complete this portion prior to the open water scenarios. The EFR course can also be completed during this time, if required.
